About the Gamestate Marketing Project.
The Veltmeijer Group is a leading supplier of arcade games in the Netherlands and is the owner of the popular Gamestate Arcades, among other brands like Gamecity and Gametown. The company was founded in 1956 by Grandpa Veltmeijer, who opened his own office two years later in Sittard where he started with jukeboxes, pinball machines, soccer, and pool tables.
In 2007, Roel Veltmeijer, the grandson of the group’s founder, was inspired by American arcade halls during a visit to a fair in New York. He was amazed at how packed the arcade halls were and how they maintained an incredible atmosphere. This realization led him to create a detailed concept for a new type of arcade experience named Gamestate.
Since then, the Veltmeijer Group has grown rapidly and operates over fifty Gamestate arcades across the Netherlands and in other European countries, including Belgium and Germany. Their arcades offer various games and attractions, including classic arcade games, cutting-edge virtual reality experiences, and multiplayer games that are perfect for groups and parties.
